PURIFIED TEREPTHALIC ACID DESCRIPTION PURIFIED TEREPHTHALIC ACID is an organic acid that is produced from Paraxylene oxidized with air, and followed by the Hydrogenation in Unit Terepthalic Acid and Unit Purified Terepthalic Acid. PTA is a powder/white crystal that is not dissolved in water, chloroform, ether and acetate acid, but dissolved in alcohol and alkali (Na OH, KOH). APPLICATION PTA is used as the main raw material for polyester fiber thread for textile industry. PTA is also processed as Polyester Chip that is as raw material for :
SPECIFICATION
MONOETHYLENE GLYCOL DESCRIPTION Monoethylene Glycol (MEG) is a colorless, virtually odorless and slightly viscous liquid. It is miscible with water, alcohols, aldehydes and many organic compounds. MEG will not dissolve rubber, cellulose acetate or heavy vegetable and petroleum oils. APPLICATIONS MEG is mainly used in the production of Polyester, Polyethylene Terephthalate (PET) and antifreeze solutions. It is an important dehydrating agent, good humectant and an industrial solvent. PROPERTIES MEG has low volatility and it is 50% more hygroscopic than glycerol at room temperature.
